Our vision at Jazzy Little Readers is to inspire a lifelong love of reading in children, nurturing their imagination, curiosity, and personal growth through the power of books. By doing so, we aim to contribute to improved literacy rates and comprehension levels.
Our Mission
Our mission is to provide a vibrant and engaging reading destination for parents and children, offering a wide range of resources, tips, and book recommendations to support and encourage reading at every stage of a child's development. We are dedicated to elevating stories that are often overlooked and shining a light on authors, organizations, and minority-owned bookstores that share our vision. Additionally, we aspire to become a partner of the Dolly Parton Imagination Library, with the goal of helping children build their personal libraries, one child at a time.
Beyond the Books
Our story began when a first-time mom realized the importance of providing her child with a library that celebrated learning, diversity, and inclusivity. Recognizing that the options available had grown since her own childhood, she also understood that supporting diverse authors and stories with unique circumstances was limited. Determined to make a difference, she took matters into her own hands by authoring her own children's books and creating a community that would empower parents to build their own home libraries filled with stories that resonated with their unique identities and fostered a deeper understanding of others.
